Background: Securing your data is more important than ever in this day and age. Hackers, Governments, and ISPs want to spy on your devices and restrictions block sites in different companies. Using a VPN guarantees online security, protects your identity and data, and unblocks restricted websites to allow for free browsing.
Objective: Marketing66 wants to join in this movement by releasing a premium VPN app for android and iOS. I was the lead product designer for this app and was tasked with designing a one-of-a-kind VPN app with cutting edge graphics and a user-friendly interface. I also designed a desktop site for marketing purposes.
Stage 1: Research
Competitive Analysis
I looked to the giants in VPN services for inspiration. These included some of the top VPN providers like NordVPN, ExpressVPN, and CyberGhost. All of these services provide clean and intuitive interfaces, hundreds of server options in multiple countries, and varied pricing plans to suit everyone’s needs.
Stage 2: Define
My Solution
After looking at many other apps for resources, and using my own experience as a VPN user, I came up with the following features to design the best possible VPN app for our needs.

-Users create an account to save their preferred server locations

To get the word out about our great new app, I designed a series of ads to promote the product.
Product Launch on Google Play
Our developers worked tirelessly to produce the highest quality product. It was a great feeling to finally upload HotVPN to Google play and see people download and use our VPN! I designed custom screenshots and app icon to promote our store listing.
